The Weakness Question - 20 Ways Interviewers Will Ask About Your Flaws The Weakness Question 20 Ways Interviewers Will Ask About Your Flaws Itâs the question that everyone dreads âWhatâs Your Greatest Weakness?â But what if the interviewer never mentions the word, âweakness?â There are numerous methods an interviewer can and will use to discover your professional shortcomings.Whatever form it takes, you want to be ready to recognize and answer the question in a way that eases the interviewerâs concerns and positions you as the ideal candidate for the role.As a career coach, I often work with job candidates on how to respond to the weakness question, no matter how itâs delivered. Think about a mistake youâve made.Tell me about your mentors. What qualities do you admire in them?What can you do with your eyes closed and what would take you a bit more time to accomplish in this role?Of t he skills listed in the job description, which do you think youll bring to this position?What would your current manager say are your biggest areas of improvement?Tell me about a time when you received negative feedback at work.
